I, Gloria Poole, drew this sketch this morning at 4am because I couldn’t sleep. There was a thunderstorm and those affect me in way that makes me feel like my brain is swelling or something. I cannot explain it in medical terms except that I get very restless, feel like impending doom, and after the atmospheric high pressure subsides, I feel ok again. So, to distract myself from that feeling which I realized cause of after clap of thunder, I got up from my bed and drew sketches. In all I drew and painted 5 sketches from 2:30am to 5am. I was born and raised in South Georgia, USA, and my daddy had cattle when I was young. I have tweeted several times to the Cattlemen’s Associations when I drew #cartoons or #sketches of cows, and or referenced them or beef, including the photo I put on my https://twitter.com/gloriapoole about how money cannot buy happiness but it can buy cows. I drew this with a graphite pencil and then painted it with watercolors and Inktense. it’s the sort of hat I would create IF I sold hats and I would make it especially for the Kentucky Derby. I drew and painted this on 6 x8 inch watercolor specific paper.
